Company Profile of Glat-Poultry

Glat-Poultry was founded in 5753 (1993) out of a desire to find a solution to the ever increasing demand for quality kosher poultry products under supervision of the Badatz ultra-orthodox community Beth Din, by one company, incorporating under one roof, all the products which would be number one in the quality league and in terms of Kashrut.

In 1995, the company established, next to the abattoir, a factory for meat processing in which (in 1998) a department was also very quickly developed for sausage products and a department for fries. 

In 2000 the Company established a processing plant for fish products under the"Delicious Fish" name brand. 

The factory specializes in the manufacture and processing of frozen gefilte fish products and sterile products in jars and tins.

The Company is currently the market leader in Gefilte Fish, together with "Delicious Fish" fries, "Fish Classic" and the "Special Fish"brands.

Numbered among the company's customers are: institutional chefs, chain stores, retail shops and functions halls, retirement homes, hospitals, hotels and so forth.

The Company also sells frozen vegetables under Badatz kashrut supervision under the "Glat-Frost" brand name which supplements its basket of products.

Its factory operates under the close supervision of Badatz Ultra-Orthodox Kashrut officials and under close veterinary supervision of Jerusalem Municipality and the Ministry of Agriculture, meeting the requirements of HACCP and a food safety management system. The Company administers a quality control system,(ISO 9001:2000), meeting severe international manufacturing standards requirements, necessitating continuous quality control, in order to ensure the quality of the products and of the service.
